University of Edinburg offers scholarship opportunities for both undergraduate, masters and PhD degrees in different fields.
1.Andrew Grant Postgraduate Scholarships
First on our list of opportunities for international students at the University of Edinburg is The Andrew Grant. The Andrew Grant Postgraduate Scholarships is available for intending postgraduate applicants in the five department at the Edinburgh College of Art. Namely: School of Art; School of Design; ESALA (Architecture and Landscape Architecture); History of Art; and the Reid School of Music.
The Awards
University of Edinburg is offering 10 scholarships, for the sum of £10,500 each. These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee with any remaining funds being awarded towards living costs.
Eligibility
The scholarships will be awarded to new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate taught Masters or Masters by Research degree programme of study at the University commencing in September 2022. Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.

2. School of Divinity PhD Research and Masters Scholarships
The School of Divinity is delighted to invite applications from outstanding candidates for its Doctoral Scholarships Awards for 2022-2023 entry. Awards are made on the basis of academic merit.
Award
Scholarships are available to cover full tuition fees (at both the UK, EU and Overseas rates). Partial awards will also be offered of at least 50% of tuition fees.
Eligibility
The School of Divinity is delighted to invite applications from outstanding candidates for a range of PhD scholarships designed to attract the best and brightest candidates to study in Edinburgh. We welcome applications across our full range of research areas in Divinity.

3. GREAT Scholarships for a Sustainable Future Scheme
The GREAT Scholarships for a Sustainable Future are designed to widen access to climate change courses in the UK and create a cohort of young spokespeople for positive change. They will enable 26 international environmentally minded students to advance their education in the UK and be well positioned to pursue green jobs, supporting delivery of transformational change.
Under the University of Edinburgh, two Scholarships at the value of £10,000 will be available for nationals from Pakistan and Nigeria applying to the MSc in Climate Change, Finance and Investment.
Award
Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.
Eligibility
At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of Nigeria and Pakistan who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for only the MSc in Climate Change Finance and Investment.

4. Nyerere Postgraduate Scholarship
The Centre of African Studies is delighted to announce Nyerere Scholarship for an applicant to our MSc in Africa and International Development. The Nyerere Scholarships provide funding for talented Tanzanian students to follow in Nyerere’s footsteps and study at the University of Edinburgh. Through the generous support provided by a donor, the Centre of African Studies will offer a one-year postgraduate scholarship to a student domiciled in Tanzania to study a Masters-level programme in the Centre of African Studies.

The scholarship will cover Tuition Fees and an annual stipend of £13,500.

5. Robertson International Scholarships (Undergraduate)
Applicants for this funding opportunities must be nationals of a country outside the UK and be liable for the overseas rate of tuition fee. Applicants should have applied through the University and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) to commence an undergraduate programme of study within the School of History, Classics and Archaeology for the 2022-2023 academic year.

6. Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships (Undergraduate)
Scholarships available to Mathematics students of outstanding ability who have International/EU fee status for the academic session 2022-2023. Scholarships are awarded to applicants with International/EU fee status who are accepted for full-time admission to an undergraduate degree programme offered by the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.

7. Sustainability and Social Impact Scholarships
The University of Edinburgh Business School is offering a number of scholarships covering part of the fees for Masters students commencing study for the 2022-2023 academic session. 9. Dr Lloyd John Ogilvie Scholarships
In the list of opportunities for international students is the Dr Lloyd John Ogilvie Scholarships. Dr Lloyd John Ogilvie was a visiting student at New College in 1955-56, who became a church leader of international distinction, eventually serving as Chaplain to the United States Senate, 1995–2003. His scholarship fund will support the best qualified students from across the world who might not otherwise be able to afford to study at Edinburgh. The School is therefore pleased to invite applications from outstanding international students applying for 2022-2023 entry to postgraduate Taught Masters programmes at the School of Divinity.
Award
The scholarship will cover 50% of tuition fees that are chargeable to an overseas postgraduate student.

11. The Kirby Laing International Scholarships
Up to three Kirby Laing International Scholarships are available to students domiciled in the ‘Majority World’ who are accepted for postgraduate masters study in the School of Divinity for the 2022-2023 academic session.
Award
The scholarships will cover tuition fees and provide a maintenance allowance of £12,000.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to students who have applied for admission on a full-time basis for a one year postgraduate Masters programme of study within the School of Divinity commencing in the 2022-2023 academic year.

12. The Desmond Tutu/Church of Scotland Masters Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Africa who is accepted on a full-time basis for a one year postgraduate Masters programme of study within the School of Divinity and who has the official endorsement from the General Secretary or Principal Clerk of their Church.
Award
The scholarship will cover:
- Full overseas tuition fee
- Accommodation within a Church of Scotland flat within Edinburgh
- £500 per calendar month for living costs
- Visa costs
- One return airfare
- Insurance from Church of Scotland business travel, underwritten by Aviva.
The award will be tenable for one academic year.

13. Online Learning scholarship
Gaining an Online Masters is an excellent way to earn a qualification which is equivalent to on-campus study, while at the same time continuing to work flexibly and live at home. Online Masters qualifications though the University of Edinburgh are fully equivalent to Masters degrees taught on campus. The Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh will provide postgraduate online scholarships to students from Africa with great academic and leadership potential but few educational opportunities.

14. Beit Trust and University of Edinburgh Scholarship
The last in our list of opportunities for international students is the Beit Trust. The Beit Trust and the University of Edinburgh Scholarships jointly fund postgraduate students from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe to undertake a Masters programme in 2021-2022.
The Beit Trust offers annually a number of Postgraduate Masters Scholarships abroad for studies or research to graduates who are domiciled in Malawi, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
