The CSA Group Graduate Scholarship is designed to support master’s-level graduate students who are conducting innovative research that involves standards. Eligible applicants must be studying or accepted into a publicly funded, accredited Canadian university.

The research can span various fields, such as engineering, social sciences, or health sciences, but must have standards as a core component of the investigation. This could involve examining existing standards or identifying areas for the development of new ones. The research doesn’t need to be in a field where CSA Group already has established standards.

Value of the Graduate Scholarship

The award offers $10,000 annually for recipients, with a maximum duration of two years. This funding will cover either the full two-year period or until the completion of a two-year Master’s program, depending on which occurs first.

How to Apply

To complete the application process through the CSA scholarship application portal, applicants must follow these steps:

  • Upload a Letter of Support from the research supervisor.
  • Include a recommendation form from at least two referees (note that the research supervisor cannot act as one of the referees).

This scholarship follows an annual timeline with key dates as follows:

  • The application deadline is March 31
  • Award notifications are sent by May 15,
  • Acceptance of the award must be confirmed by June 3
